I’m a filmmaker, editor and producer based in Barcelona, working primarily in documentary cinema.
For the past years, I have been developing films that explore memory, identity, archives and the stories that remain on the margins of official history. My work is driven by a fascination with the relationship between personal narratives and collective memory, often combining intimate observation with historical investigation.
As an editor, I have collaborated on documentaries, fiction films and cultural projects across Brazil and Europe, shaping stories through rhythm, emotion and cinematic language. Alongside my editing practice, I develop and direct my own films through an approach that blends research, creative documentary and essayistic storytelling.
I am currently directing my first feature documentary, I’m Not a Filmmaker, a personal and historical journey through the forgotten legacy of one of Brazil’s pioneering women filmmakers. The project has been developed through international labs and industry programs including LABED, Brasil Cinemundi, DocBarcelona and Punto de Vista.
I am also the founder of Abre Caminho Filmes, an independent production company dedicated to author-driven cinema, and Sara y Rosa, a platform devoted to feminist film criticism and cultural exchange across Ibero-America.
I see cinema as a form of memory-making: a way of preserving what risks disappearing and creating new possibilities for how we understand ourselves, our histories and the world around us.
